May 25 - Warriors Beat Scranton Prep in Playoffs 11-1m
The weather was hot but the Warrior bats were hotter as Wyoming Area beat Scranton Prep in the first round of the District II playoffs. Dylan Maloney pitched a masterful game for the Warriors, keeping the Prep lefty laden lineup off balance for most of the game. Maloney finished the game giving up two hits, striking out two and walking only one in the five inning stint. Maloney also helped his own cause by hitting a 2 run double to the right center field gap that sealed the game in the bottom of the fifth.
The Warriors generated 11 hits, with Chris Murphy and Matt Carroll each getting two apiece. Dylan Maloney and Corey Furman each collected two RBI as there was balanced hitting up and own the lineup. The Warriors will play the winner of North Pocono-West Scranton at home on Friday afternoon.
