Apr 4 - Randy McDermott went 4 for 4 with a home run, but it wasn't quite enough to carry the Warriors to victory in their home opener. Dylan Maloney pitched the entire game for the Warriors, scattering 8 hits and striking out 4. The Warriors jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first and the game stayed that way until the Spartans broke out for four in the bottom of the fourth. The Warriors scratched back with single runs in the fifth and seventh, but it wasn't enough to overtake WVW. Tommy Alexeander pitched a gem for the Spartans, striking out 9 in 5 innings. The Warriors struck out a total of 12 times in the game. Dylan Maloney helped his cause at the plate by adding a double and a triple. Kody Nowicki had the only other hit for the Warriors.
