Chuck's Auction Loses to Avoca Dupont in District 16/31 Junior LL Championship Game, 8-6
Avoca Dupont defeated GWA Chucks Autction in the District 16/31 Championship game. Chuck's offense stumbled with only 7 hts (Freddie Cefalo tripled and singled). Kyle Borton added a pair of singles and Marty Cirelli, Jake Granteed and Jake Wysocki also added hits.
Colin Herron started the game and had six strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. Jake Granteed finished the final 3 1/3 striking out 5.
Avoca Dupont built an 8-1 lead going into the seventh. The GWA boys hung in there and tallied five runs in the seventh but ran out of gas as the tough Avoca Dupont team held the rally in check.
